  KANUKA FINESSE 1005DOB: 30/07/2010

Finesse is the star of the Kanuka cow herd - and has recently become a Silver Benchmark Dam

A standout from birth, she is out of a very strong Leelands Princess 506 cow, a Gold Benchmark Dam, and sired by Koanui Unanimous.

In 2011 she was the NZ Royal Show Junior Champion Female as a yearling and returned to the 2012 NZ Royal Show as a 2 year-old heifer with calf and placed 3rd in a very strong Allbreeds class.

She looks as good on paper as she does in the flesh with perfectly balanced EBV's and has backed it up by

- Her first calf Kanuka Habanero 1202 weaning at 370kg

- Kanuka Isobel 1301, sired by Kairuru Garner who is doing an outstanding job on her first calf - a bull sired by Colraine Codeword

- Kanuka Jess 1401, a second heifer sired by Kairuru Garner who recently weighed in at 574kg at 18 months of age

- her current calf, Kanuka Knighthood 1404, a powerful bull calf by Kairuru Garner who is well on track to be the heaviest bull calf weaned

  KEELRYN LEONORA 193DOB: 18/08/2006

Nora is another of our favourite cows in the Kanuka herd.

She came to us as a heifer calf purchased from the Keelryn dispersal sale.  As a daughter of Otapawa Skymate she has exceptional maternal traits and this shows through into her progeny.

Her last 3 calves, all bulls, have weaned over 350kg and shown enormous potential

Kanuka Fortune 1007 - shown successfully and retained as herd sire at CK Herefords

Kanuka Giovanni 1104 - heaviest calf ever weaned at Kanuka, sold for $2500 as a yearling

Kanuka Harvard 1210 -  by Harvie Ladies Man

Nora was left empty in 2014 and was embryo flushed in June 2015 to new sire Waikaka Skytower producing a staggering 43 embryos from a single flush (the normal average is 6!)
